Introduction

Lin Fuzhi is a senior partner at AllBright Law Offices and chairman of the Management Committee of the firm’s Xiamen office, specialising in capital securities and finance, including IPOs, refinancing, M&A and restructuring, private equity, factoring, financial leasing, etc.

He serves as an arbitrator and board member of the Xiamen Arbitration Commission, deputy director of the Securities Law Professional Committee and member of the Pro Bono Legal Services Committee of the Fujian Lawyers Association, deputy chief supervisor of the Xiamen Lawyers Association, vice president of the Xiamen Entrepreneurship & Investment Association, investment counselor of Siming District of Xiamen, and vice chairman of the 8th Executive Committee of the district’s Federation of Industry & Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce).

His major honours include “Recommended Lawyer of Investment Funds: PRC Firms” by The Legal 500 China Awards 2023 and “Recommended Lawyer of Corporate/Commercial: Fujian (PRC Firms)” in the Chambers Greater China Region Guide 2023.

Lin has been practising law for 22 years. His team of lawyers provide services related to private equity, investment and financing, M&A and restructuring for more than 260 private equity fund management companies, investment organisations and banks across multiple provinces and cities including Fujian, Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, etc., with funds amounting to more than RMB100 billion (USD14 billion). He provides perennial legal services for nearly 100 state-owned enterprises, listed companies and financial institutions.

As chairman of the Management Committee of AllBright’s Xiamen office, Lin actively promotes the firm’s ethos of “law firm consisting of teams, teams going to corporate operation” (Suggest to check translation). He has implemented a series of effective measures across the Xiamen office, including a cabinet system for the Management Committee, an organisational structure for the branch, an introduction system for talents, “one major & two auxiliary” system for lawyers’ areas of practice, a point-based reward system for management, inter-team cooperation for bankruptcy cases, etc. Lin’s team is the first to implement “team corporatisation” in the branch and has fostered a cutting-edge reputation in private equity investment, investment and financing, enterprise compliance (including criminal compliance) and other areas of expertise.
