Introduction

Li Peng joined Wincon in 2008 and is a partner at its Jinan office. Before joining the firm, he worked as an in-house lawyer in the legal department of China HP. His strength in logical analysis enables him to handle complicated matters for clients. Li mainly focuses on corporate matters, commercial litigation/arbitration, and foreign and outward direct investment issues. He has delivered professional services for many multinational companies such as IBM, Volvo Construction Equipment, Intel, LV, McAfee and China Mobile. In 2011, he was honoured as an outstanding lawyer by the Huaiyin district, Jinan government. In 2015, he was named by Asian Legal Business (ALB) as one of the top 20 lawyers popular among clients in China across different practice areas, and was a recommended lawyer for dispute resolution in East China by ALB in 2023.

He was elected as a member of China’s leading lawyers in foreign legal practice by the National Bar Association in 2015. His diligence and rich experience working with multinational companies and law firms have enabled him to better understand the business objectives of clients. He has earned their respect with his reliability and professionalism.

Li also takes part in large-scale activities and social committees that allow him to have good working relationships with government authorities. Li was elected as a member of the Shandong provincial government’s expert team responsible for the resolution of international disputes. He is also the vice secretary-general of the Jinan Western Returned Scholars Association, a legal expert for the China Supreme People’s Procuratorate, a legal counsel for the Jinan government, a member of the Anti-Trust and Competition Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, and a member of the Foreign Dispute Resolution Committee of the Shandong Lawyers Association.

Li has been focusing on theory research in his legal practice. He worked as a translator of Insider Dealing and Money Laundering in the EU, Law and Regulations, published by Law Press of China in 2011, and Business Guide to International Trade and Investment, (The International Chamber of Commerce) published by Nanjing University Press in 2019. He also wrote many professional papers which were issued first and second prizes by the Shandong Law Society and the East China Lawyer Forum.
