Eyewear retail chain Lenskart has hired Mehak Khanna as its legal head in New Delhi. Khanna joins from Oriflame India, where she was senior counsel for South Asia for four years.
“I have been passionate about working for a unicorn company for most of my professional career,” said Khanna, who holds the position of assistant vice president, legal and secretarial, at the company.
“The new role, being a leadership position in a fast-paced e-commerce industry, gives me a platform to deal with various issues ranging from corporate work (advisory and transactional) and compliance to dispute resolution, and I look forward to honing the managerial and cross-functional skills that I have developed over the years.”
Her role is expected to also involve driving crucial business transactions, resolving internal and external disputes, and representing the company before regulatory authorities, counterparties and other external partners.
Khanna has previously undertaken and managed restructuring transactions, corporate advisory opinions, real estate transactions, IT/data privacy issues, regulatory compliance as well as IP and litigation work related to India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Singapore.
She also worked with DMD Advocates in New Delhi for more than five years from 2009.
