K&L Gates has hired Iris Leung as a corporate and capital markets partner in its Hong Kong office, moving from Linklaters where she was a partner for more than five years in the city.
Leung has advised issuers and underwriters on a significant number of listings of Chinese and multinational companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and other major international bourses. She has also advised bulge-bracket investment banks and private equity and venture capital funds in innovative capital markets and M&A transactions.
She was the lead partner for some of the largest IPOs in Hong Kong, including the USD2.07 billion IPO of China Tourism Group Duty Free in August this year. She was also the lead partner in assisting the first batch of Chinese companies in trading global depository receipts on the SIX Swiss Exchange, raising a total of USD1.5 billion.
