Introduction
Jeong Ran LEE is a managing partner at DR & AJU, a major law firm in South Korea. She has been the first woman managing partner at the age of 40.
Her profession is primarily focused on antitrust & competition, corporate, administrative procedure & litigation, environmental, social & governance (ESG).
LEE has provided clients with comprehensive advice that they require in many situations such as domestic and foreign cartel cases, abuse of market dominance general unfair trade practices, and works on deliberation by the Korea Fair Trade Commission as a legal representative. In addition to them, she deals with many legal situations involving violations of the Fair Transaction in Franchise Business Act, the Act on Fair Transactions in Large Retail Business, the Fair Agency Transactions Act, the Act on Fair Labelling and Advertising, and the Fair Transactions in Subcontracting Act. She has been very successful in administrative litigation concerning the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act. She has recently gained more attention from major companies since she provides them with a wide range of advisory services in the field of compliance areas.
She was selected as the finalist in the Woman Lawyer of the Year category by the Asian Legal Business Korea Law Awards for three consecutive years in 2021, 2022 and 2023. LEE was also selected as a recommended lawyer by the Legal500 Asia Pacific in 2023.
