Hogan Lovells has hired a partner in its M&A practice in Greater China from White & Case, Jiang Shaohui, who also brings two team members to the firm.
James Doyle, the firm’s global head of the corporate and finance group, said the Asia-Pacific remains a key active region for M&A, and Jiang’s addition would help the team serve clients in the region.
“In addition to his extensive client work in Greater China and with Chinese state-owned enterprises, Shaohui brings significant cross-border experience and in particular in the infrastructure and energy sector,” Doyle added.
Apart from M&A, Jiang focuses on private equity investments and energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and technology businesses’ project development and finance.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Jiang was a Beijing-based local partner at White & Case since 2019. He had advised energy giant Sempra Energy on the USD2.23 billion sale of its Chilean businesses.
Before joining White & Case, Jiang worked as a counsel for K&L Gates.
