Guan Jian

Introduction

Guan Jian is a managing partner at Globe-Law Law Firm in Beijing, with more than 17 years’ experience specialising in the WTO and international trade. With his expertise, Guan has represented the Chinese government and enterprises in a number of WTO dispute settlement cases and participated in the legal review process of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership texts. Guan has, on behalf of relevant Chinese General Chambers of Commerce businesses, participated in a series of international economic and trade friction cases, including the US Section 301 investigation on China, a special 301 investigation and WTO compliance review. He has also represented well-known Chinese enterprises in many trade remedy investigations initiated by the EU and the US, and led several research programmes on export control and trade sanction compliance in the EU and the US. Guan has published more than 20 articles relating to the WTO and international trade in domestic and foreign journals.
