Gu Shuiyang

Introduction

Gu Shuiyang, founding senior partner and senior lawyer at Zhihe Partners in Shanghai, graduated with a Bachelor of Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law and a Master of Law from East China University of Political Science and Law.

He has long been engaged in legal teaching and scientific research, and has published many law papers and monographs. Gu is currently serving as a perennial legal adviser for dozens of Fortune 500 companies, large state-owned enterprises and listed companies. The industry areas he is involved in include automotive and industrial manufacturing, the internet and e-commerce, real estate and construction engineering, international trade, television, foreign-related medical investment and pharmaceutical enterprise compliance.

Gu is an expert in consulting for civil and administrative supervision cases of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, director of the Shanghai Hongkou Law Society, an arbitrator on multiple arbitration committees; a member of the ninth and 10th Medical and Health Committees of the Shanghai Lawyers Association, and an interviewer for the 10th and 11th Intern Lawyers of the Shanghai Lawyers Association.

He has led the team to win awards in the fields of “outstanding law firm”, “internet and e-commerce” and “automotive, industrials and manufacturing” from China Business Law Journal. In 2020, two cases presided over by Gu were selected for the 2019 edition of the Shanghai State-owned Enterprise Litigation Cases Selection.
