FenXun, Baker McKenzie’s joint operation partner in China, has hired IP specialist Cassidy Guo to lead the firm’s patent enforcement and litigation team in Beijing amid growing demand across the country.
Guo, who will join the team as a partner, is a licensed patent agent with a decade of experience in the legal field. She specialises in IP litigation, especially in patents, and is skilled at dealing with standard essential patents and related antitrust issues, as well as fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory practices.
She has represented technology companies in IP disputes involving patent infringement and invalidation, as well as trade secrets and software copyright disputes.
Prior to joining FenXun Partners, Guo left Fangda Partners to join King & Wood Mallesons as a partner in 2022, along with famed IP litigator Gordon Gao.
Wang Yingzhe, managing partner at FenXun, said: “China presents abundant opportunity for patent work given the size of the domestic market and also the robust manufacturing and R&D activities in the country.”
Guo’s addition will bolster the firm’s ability to better support clients with their growing IP needs, Wang added.

Intellectual property specialist Gordon Gao brought colleagues Sherry Yao, Zhang Xuting and Cassidy Guo with him from Fangda Partners to join King & Wood Mallesons as partners.
