Introduction
Ethan Ma Yufeng, a partner and the chief representative of Orrick Shanghai, has more than 20 years’ experience assisting clients in cross-border intellectual property (IP) matters, including IP litigation before the US International Trade Commission (ITC) and the US federal courts. In addition to specialising in complex IP litigation relating to patent infringement, trademark infringement, ITC 337 investigations, trade secrets misappropriation and unfair competition, Ma has extensive experience advising clients on IP administrative actions, IP strategies, due diligence, and IP aspects of strategic transactions.
Ma is dedicated to helping Chinese clients go overseas, providing the legal protection and counseling needed by them. He is a member of the foreign legal expert pools of a number of provinces and cities. With the transition of Chinese companies from traditional manufacturing to innovation, he has accumulated extensive experience in enforcing IP rights, data security, data privacy and compliance, product liability, administrative investigations, etc.
