Crystal Zhang

Introduction

Crystal Zhang Qian is a partner at Tian Yuan Law Firm. Prior to joining Tian Yuan, Zhang worked at leading international law firms for years, and is qualified to practise in New York state. She obtained her LLB from Renmin University of China, and her LLM from Columbia Law School.

Zhang has more than 10 years of experience in Hong Kong capital markets, focusing on transactions relating to Hong Kong-listed issuers, especially initial public offerings, placings, M&A, and other related commercial matters. Her clients include domestic and foreign investment banks, securities firms, private equity funds and other institutions, as well as leading companies in biotechnology, healthcare, technology, media and telecoms, financial securities and other sectors, with which she has accomplished many pioneering and innovative projects.

She has advised a number of well-known enterprises in their Hong Kong IPOs and complex transactions, including Changjiu Digital Technology, Gaush Meditech, Chaoju Eye Care, Simcere Pharmaceutical, Netjoy Holdings, Strawbear Entertainment, Jinxin Fertility, CanSino Biologics, Ascletis Pharma, Zhongyuan Bank, Hospital Corporation of China, China Energy Engineering, Inner Mongolia Energy Engineering, GF Securities, Prince Frog, and China Hongqiao Group.

Zhang also acts as the compliance and M&A counsel for Hong Kong public companies and has extensive experience in private equity financing and general corporate matters. Because of her outstanding performance and reputation, Zhang has been listed in The Legal 500’s recommended lawyers in 2023 and 2024.
