Introduction

Christina Peng is a senior partner of Dacheng Law Offices in Guangzhou, with more than 18 years’ extensive legal experience practising in corporate law, especially in the fields of commercial arbitration and litigation, cross-border investment and trade, and regulatory compliance of TMT projects. Peng mainly serves industries including but not limited to TMT companies, automobiles, manufacturing, construction and engineering. She has rich experience in leading and serving as the general co-ordinating lawyer of major projects and cases.

As a highly experienced litigator and arbitration attorney, Peng has represented numerous Chinese domestic and overseas companies in handling high-value cross-border and local commercial cases in Chinese courts and international arbitration commissions. She has recorded an impressive number of winning lawsuits, including but not limited to injunctive relief applications, and disputes involving contracts, equity, financing, intellectual property, infringement, and the recovery of cross-border assets.

As a highly experienced arbitrator, Peng has heard arbitration cases in the Thai-Chinese International Arbitration and Mediation Centre, the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, and the Qingdao Arbitration Commission, which provides a more comprehensive vision in dealing with complex cross-border disputes.

Peng was prize winner of the Legal 500 Arbitration Powerlist: China 2023; Key Lawyer of “Dispute Resolution: Arbitration” of the Legal 500 China List 2023 and 2024; and “Legal One Merits Remarkable” Ranking Lawyer of TMT Projects in the Legal One Greater China List 2023.

With her extensive experience in litigation and arbitration practice, Peng has been nominated and appointed by high-level government authorities as a consulting expert, such as counsellor of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the PRC’s network platform for Civil and Administrative Cases; legislative counsellor of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress of the PRC; director of the Nansha Free-Trade Zone Legal Research Centre for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Co-operation; and vice president of the Guangzhou Western Returned Scholars Association Haizhu Branch.
