Introduction

Atom Wu is a joint senior partner of DHH Law Firm, a Chinese lawyer and Chinese tax accountant. She is a professional tax and litigation lawyer. She has 15 years of experience in tax and legal affairs in China.

Wu has rich theoretical knowledge and practical experience in law and taxation. She also has a wide range of government knowledge and enterprise knowledge in the fields of finance and tax. She has provided long-standing service to large commercial institutions inside and outside China. Her professional fields focus on tax compliance and tax planning, consulting, assistance with tax inspection, tax dispute resolution, tax-related criminal compliance and criminal defence, civil and commercial dispute resolution, especially in the area of corporate law, legal and tax integrated consulting services, government and enterprise compliance consultation and policy consultation. Her professional experience covers real estate, construction, the mineral industry, the energy sector, the automobile industry, the medical industry, manufacturing, the internet, finance and many other fields.

Wu graduated from Jilin University with a Bachelor of Law degree. Then she graduated from the East China University of Political Science and Law with a Master’s degree in Law. She had working experience with Chinese tax authorities at both a local tax bureau and the State Administration of Taxation, mainly engaged in tax inspection, policies and regulation. Atom Wu started her career as a lawyer at the King & Wood Law Office in Beijing, engaging in tax compliance and planning, tax inspection, tax dispute resolution and commercial compliance.

In 2021, Wu served as the main and representative lawyer to help DHH win the Excellent Law Firm Award 2021 in the Tax Law category, awarded by Commercial Law. As a representative of tax lawyers, she. delivered a keynote speech at the 2021 Annual Meeting of Fiscal and Tax Law Studying Branch of the China Law Society.

Wu has carried out in-depth research in the composite field of tax and law. She has published many professional articles such as Share-holding entrustment: How to realise the benign cohesion on the tax law and civil law; The new regulation studying of Chinese administrative punishments law for comparative study of tax and customs administrative punishment; The tax cases of a web celebrity which raises tax inspirations for entrepreneurs, and The tax-related risks of financial assets in a tanglesome age.
