Introduction

Wan Li is a partner at Tiger Partners and is listed in the foreign-related lawyer talent pool of the Beijing Bar Association. He has more than 12 years of experience as a lawyer and in-house counsel. He specialises in commercial dispute resolution, specifically foreign-related commercial litigation and arbitration. He has also made breakthroughs in the fields of IP-related disputes, as well as matters involving both criminal and civil proceedings.

Wan has represented numerous well-known and leading international and domestic companies in litigation and arbitration cases in PRC courts at all levels, and at arbitration institutions including the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and the Beijing Arbitration Commission. He has also represented clients in initiating criminal charge proceedings against offenders.

Wan’s clients come from many industries including finance, investment, maritime, aviation, insurance, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, real estate, culture and entertainment, and e-sports.

He is adept at applying his experience as a lawyer and an in-house counsel to understand his clients’ needs and ultimate goals, and is always able to provide insightful and actionable legal advice to help clients make the most favourable decisions. Wan joined Tiger Partners in 2020. Prior to that, he worked as a dispute resolution lawyer at three top Chinese law firms, and as a litigation director in the legal department of an A-share listed company.

Wan graduated from the University of International Relations with a Bachelor’s degree in Law, and completed his Master’s degree in Law (Maritime Law) at Dalian Maritime University.
