Introduction
Philip Wong is a managing partner at Gallant, a renowned full-service independent domestic law firm in Hong Kong established in 1977. Wong leads a strong team of more than 40 lawyers, providing legal services in a wide variety of practices including banking and finance, corporate and M&A, insurance, IP, real estate and dispute resolution.
Wong graduated in 1991 from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). He obtained his Master of Laws in 1994 and was admitted as a Hong Kong solicitor in the same year. Wong is frequently recognised by a number of authoritative international legal publications and rating agencies, including The Legal 500, IFLR1000, Asialaw Profiles and China Business Law Journal. He actively participates in various pro bono committee work at the Law Society of Hong Kong, and provides public and community services to a large number of Hong Kong NGOs and charitable organisations. Wong is the law society’s practice management committee chairman and legal fact check committee vice chairman, a legal adviser of Po Leung Kuk, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Charitable Foundation, and an honorary legal adviser of the Hong Kong Society for the Aged and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association.
