The legal and compliance team of Micro Connect Group is comprised of legal compliance professionals with diverse educational and work backgrounds from various jurisdictions. Under the leadership of Annie Ling, partner and general counsel, the team provides comprehensive support for various cross-border legal and compliance matters within the group, meticulously anticipating risks to ensure the group's stable and rapid development.
Leveraging the innovative creation of a revenue-sharing financial product, which draws on and organically integrates the concepts and methods of traditional asset securitisation products, Ling has led the team in further exploring and introducing the securitisation of revenue rights of daily revenue contracts. By enabling investors to subscribe to securitised products, they can participate in the underlying revenue-sharing rights. This novel design effectively channels the cash flow derived from revenue-sharing rights into the cash flow paid to investors throughthe financial products. By implementing this model to Daily Revenue Obligation (DRO) products issued overseas by the Micro Connect Macao Financial Assets Exchange, overseas investors can invest in DROs through the exchange, or pledge DROs held on the exchange as collateral for financing from overseas banks. This further illustrates the flexible integration of DROs with traditional financial and investment institutions, harnessing the significance of new financial assets through exploration and innovation in the financial market. Notably, the group raised USD458 million in its Series C funding round last year. This achievement witnessed broad-based participation from a diverse group of both new and existing investors worldwide.
