Annie Ling joined Micro Connect Group in 2021, and serves as a partner and general counsel. Ling began her career as a practising lawyer at international law firms, specialising in cross-border M&A, corporate finance, and other related matters. She held positions at listed financial institutions and asset management organisations, serving as general counsel, head of legal, compliance and risk control, among others, accumulating a wealth of experience across various industries.

Building upon the innovative creation of revenue-sharing financial products, Ling guided her team in further exploring and introducing the securitisation of revenue rights under daily revenue contracts, integrating concepts and methods of traditional asset securitisation products. By subscribing to the securitised products, investors can participate in and benefit from the revenue rights of the underlying contracts. This novel architectural design effectively converts the cash flow obtained from revenue-sharing contracts into cash flow paid to investors under the financial products. By applying this model to Daily Revenue Obligation (DRO) products issued overseas by the Micro Connect Macao Financial Assets Exchange, overseas investors can invest in DROs through the exchange or pledge DROs held on the exchange as collateral to obtain financing from overseas banks. This further illustrates the flexible integration of DROs with traditional financial and investment institutions, harnessing the significance of new financial assets through exploration and innovation in financial markets.

Following the establishment of a new revenue-sharing investment model for micro-enterprises, based on the mission of connecting big capital with small businesses, the group established the Micro Connect Macao Financial Assets Exchange (MCEX) to provide online trading services of revenue-sharing financial products for the market. During the licensing process and preparation for the opening of MCEX, Ling led the team in creatively proposing legal and compliance solutions to tackle diverse issues, encompassing exchange rules, its operating models, cross-border products, systems and data, as well as funding channels, while considering varying legal requirements from both domestic and international perspectives. This endeavour facilitated the implementation of the MCEX model and laid a solid foundation for future development.
