Wei Shuangjuan

Introduction

Wei Shuangjuan is a partner at Haiwen & Partners and a member of the firm’s management committee. She has more than 20 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fund formation, asset management and matters involving financial institutions. Before joining Haiwen, Wei worked at Freshfields in Beijing and Hong Kong, and was seconded to China Investment Corporation as senior secondee counsel, where she assisted with legal matters related to overseas investments.

Wei was previously recognised by ALB as Dealmakers of Asia in 2021 and 2022, named among 2021 ALB China Top 15 Female Lawyers, and honoured as China Female Lawyer of the Year at the asialaw Awards 2024. She has also received recognition for her professional expertise from leading legal publications including Chambers, The Legal 500, ALB and IFLR.

Wei received her LLB and Master of Laws degrees from Peking University, and an LLM from New York University, where she was a Vanderbilt Scholar.
