Introduction
Gao Qiang (Bill Gao) graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property Law in 2010. He serves as a senior partner and head of the IP department at Landing Law Offices, and also acts as an off-campus mentor for the Law School of Shanghai University. He has been recognised as a “Recommended Lawyer for Intellectual Property (Litigation)” in the Chambers Greater China Region Guide 2024, named among IPR Daily’s “2024 China’s Top 50 IP Elite Lawyers Under 50”, and honoured as a China Business Law Journal “A-List” lawyer from 2021 to 2023, as well as an Asian Legal Business China “Client Choice Lawyer” in 2022, among other accolades.
With 15 years of experience as an IP lawyer, Gao specialises in handling complex and significant IP cases in fields such as cultural entertainment, artificial intelligence, the internet, and high-tech industries. He has represented both domestic and international clients in more than 1,000 IP and unfair competition litigation cases, along with numerous non-litigation projects covering trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, domain names, franchising, and technology transfer and development. He possesses extensive practice experience and a record of successful cases in IP strategy and legal protection for Chinese companies expanding overseas.
