Zhang Qi

Introduction

Zhang Qi holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Hangzhou University (now Zhejiang University) and a master’s degree in law from Zhejiang University. She also studied as a visiting scholar at the University of Houston in the United States. Zhang serves as the managing partner and head of the securities and capital markets business of Liuhe Law Firm.

At the same time, she serves as deputy director of the Securities and Capital Markets Professional Committee of the Hangzhou Lawyers Association, vice president of the Zhejiang Investment M&A Association, and deputy director of the Mergers, Acquisitions and Reorganisation Working Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of Investment, and she also serves in other social positions.

She was selected as a candidate for the 17th Issuance Appraisal Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. She was shortlisted for ALB’s 2021 list of Women Lawyers of the Year: The Coastal Areas and was on China Business Law Journal’s 2022 list of The A-List Legal Elite in the Chinese market.

Zhang has extensive legal practice experience in the areas of securities issuance and listings, mergers and acquisitions of listed companies, and corporate acquisitions. The industries of companies she serves include cultural media, high-end equipment, advanced manufacturing and other fields. In recent years, she has led several industry-impacting projects, including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and restructurings of listed companies, refinancing, and domestic and international bond issuances.
