Introduction
He Xiaobo joined Watson & Band in 2006, mainly engaged in domestic and foreign civil and commercial dispute resolution, intellectual property and bankruptcy cases. He also serves as an arbitrator, the head of the Demonstration Station of Trade Secret Protection in the Xuhui District, Shanghai (Watson & Band), and an expert assigned by the Intellectual Property Rapid Protection Centre in the Fengxian District, Shanghai.
He excels in designing litigation strategies, defending in complex cases, and demonstrating strong communication, coordination and negotiation skills. With a comprehensive, practical and thorough understanding of legal matters, He adeptly employs litigation and non-litigation approaches to optimise clients’ legitimate interests while considering social impacts.
He has represented: Baowu Group and its subsidiaries in resolving a series of steel trade crisis disputes caused by the financial collapse of steel traders; the Emperor Group, handling litigation related to real estate co-operation and development; and Minmetals International Trust, handling disputes arising from collective fund trust plans. He also represents Zhongfu Group in multinational cases, designing effective overall litigation plans both domestically and abroad to achieve client interests.
In the field of intellectual property, he represented: Bloomberg LP in unfair-competition disputes involving infringement of Bloomberg’s professional services; and Blizzard in a lawsuit against others for unfair competition over the infringement of its well-known game products (selected as one of the top ten intellectual property cases of the year). He also represented Wind Company in the unfair-competition case with Tonghuashun Co. (protecting the intellectual labour achievements formed by data product processing from the principle of anti-unfair competition); and represented Chengdu Aixing in the case of infringement of technical secrets involving Kemei Boyang (this matter was selected among Top 10 IP Cases of the Year by the Supreme People’s Court).
