Introduction

Wang Zi is a partner in Guantao’s international practice group. She joined Guantao in 2008 after receiving her LLM in international business law from China University of Political Science and Law. Wang specializes in project & infrastructure, cross-border transactions and M&A, and has advised numerous SOEs and public companies, especially in the energy industry.

After pursuing other opportunities as the legal counsel of Bombardier Transportation China, and then the legal director of China New Energy Fund, Wang rejoined Guantao as a partner in 2018. With her lawyer instincts and insights into her clients’ perspectives, one thing distinguishing Wang from her peers is that she is more resolution-oriented and always keen to understand clients’ business.

Wang was the lead counsel for Sinopec Kanton’s acquisition of five joint ventures and rights issue, among many other transactions for Sinopec Group.
