Introduction

Bill Li Zheng is the senior partner & deputy director of Zhong Lun W&D Law Firm, the deputy secretary of GLA (Global Legal Alliance), the director of the “Belt and Road” Legal Professional Committee, and the deputy director of the Financial Law Professional Committee of Zhong Lun W&D Law Firm. He graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology, University of International Business and Economics and University of Amsterdam and obtained LLB and LLM degrees. He was awarded the honor of “The Pacesetter of Young Lawyers” by Lawyer Association of Chaoyang District, Beijing in 2013, and the honor of “China 2015 Top 15 Rising Lawyers” by Asian Legal Business (ALB).

He has nearly 20 years’ experience in international arbitration and commercial litigation. And he has been retained as legal counsellor by a number of enterprises. He provides legal services for the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (Agency for International Economic Cooperation, SME Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of The People’s Republic of China, Beijing Capital Land Ltd, Ausvogar Equity Investment Fund Management (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, etc.

Li is good at designing legal transaction structure for business and he has participated in the establishment, merger and acquisition of many local or foreign real estate companies. He joined in the “China Center” (located in Freedom Tower, Manhattan, New York) project team to provide legal services for Vantone Real Estate Company, including negotiating on lease with the port authority of New York and New Jersey State.

Li is able to use English and Chinese in his daily work, able to assist clients from different countries and regions to complete commercial transactions, avoid legal risks and resolve business disputes. He always obtains high recognition from his clients.
