Linklaters has advised BlackRock on acquiring a 49% stake in Chow Energy, its first renewable energy venture in Thailand, for an undisclosed sum.

Wanwisar Nakarat, managing partner at Linklaters in Bangkok, led the transaction team.

BlackRock’s Climate Finance Partnership, a public-private finance consortium of 10 investors, aims to boost capital flow into market climate infrastructure.

Chow Energy is a subsidiary of Chow Steel Industries in Bangkok and a renowned local renewable energy operator and developer.
