Bhanzu has secured USD15 million in 2022 in the edtech firm’s second fundraise following the USD2 million raised in seed capital from angel investors in 2021.

Eight Roads Ventures was one of the key investors that helped pump in capital for this latest funding round.

Bombay Law Chambers acted on behalf of Eight Roads Ventures, while DMD Advocates advised Bhanzu on the deal. B Capital was among the additional investors.

Bhanzu is an edtech firm that trains students in maths, science and coding, which raised USD2 million in seed funding in 2021. Trust Legal’s Petal Chandhok and Rupali Gupta advised Bhanzu, which is backed by Lightspeed and several angel investors, in completing this transaction.

“It has been great working with Petal and Rupali at Trust Legal,” said Neelakantha Bhanu, the founder and CEO of Bhanzu, who is also known as the “world’s fastest human calculator”.

“They’ve helped us navigate quicker through the due diligence in our seed round.
