Introduction
Arthur Tso is a Hong Kong-based partner at DLA Piper‘s corporate department. His primary focus is advising corporates, shareholders, investors, underwriters and sponsors on listings and initial public offerings on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (including secondary and dual primary listings), pre-IPO investments, mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers and corporate restructuring. He is the co-head of DLA Piper’s International Equity Capital Markets practice group.
With over 15 years of experience in capital markets, Tso has worked with all major investment banks, intermediaries, large private equity funds and major corporations in China, Europe and the US, advising on high-profile capital markets transactions. He is well-versed in securities offerings including Regulation S and Rule 144A offerings.
In addition to his specialisation in IPOs, Tso’s client portfolio extends to private equity investors, investment funds and professional investors. He advises on a wide range of transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, privatisation of listed companies, and investments in equity and convertible instruments.
Leveraging his comprehensive understanding of financing requirements throughout the corporate lifecycle and his prior experience in the banking industry at Morgan Stanley, Tso excels in devising bespoke and functional capital markets solutions for clients, adding significant value on deal structuring, negotiation processes and documentation for a wide range of equity financing transactions.
Tso’s exceptional skills and contributions have earned him numerous accolades from prestigious legal publications such as China Business Law Journal, and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. In 2022, he was honoured with the “Rising Stars” award by CBLJ and “40 under 40” award by LexisNexis.
