The 2018 ACC Australia In-house Counsel series have continued across Australia with full-day conferences recently delivered in Perth and Sydney. These events, delivered in conjunction with state committees, feature a range of sessions covering substantive law, leadership and personal development.
Highlighted sessions from the recent series have covered a diverse series of topics including building a personal brand, overcoming unconscious bias, and influencing through leadership. Feedback from attendees highlighted the diversity of session topics, noting they were reflective of the evolving in-house role.
It was noted that in the past, in-house conferences were more about drafting contracts and legal jargon, whereas the news series highlights leadership and strategic thinking. The 2018 In-house Counsel series conclude with an event in the Australian Capital Territory on 3 July.
