The Las Vegas conference on 23-26 October marked the first time in nearly three years since the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) hosted its in-person annual meeting, attracting more than 2,700 attendees from around the world.

Iuliia Mendel, who rose to international prominence when she served as the press secretary and spokesperson for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, shared her experiences as a keynote speaker.

Mendel, who is a journalist, political adviser and author, offered a unique perspective on world events and underscored the importance of the rule of law for a healthy democracy.

The conference was an opportunity for attendess to learn and network, from more than 100 sessions and panel discussions, 15-minute micro-learning presentations on numerous topics, eight-minute networking meets, and much more.

Attendees were able to sign up to listen to speakers about compliance; risk management; diversity, equity and inclusion; environmental, social and governance; and so much more – many of which counted for continuing education credits.

A distinct vibe was in the air as everyone was excited to finally be able to reconnect again in person, as members, sponsors and speakers spent the four days learning, networking and having a fun with colleagues from 52 countries.

Later that evening, everyone met at Zouk, the hottest nightclub on the Las Vegas Strip, to celebrate this year’s network achievement and chapters of distinction award winners by dancing and connecting with old friends while making new ones.

The ACC Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of in-house counsel in the world and the next one will be return next year to be held on 22-25 October in San Antonio, Texas.
