Vivek Vashi

Introduction

Vivek Vashi is recognised as a leading dispute resolution practitioner in India. He commenced his career in law as a trainee in 1999 with the erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas, and was subsequently retained as an associate in 2002 on graduation; thereafter as a senior associate on qualification as a solicitor in 2004. In 2008, Vivek co-founded Bharucha & Partners.

Vashi and Vashi was founded in 2017 by Vivek, after he parted ways with his former firm along with his entire team of 17 associates in order to set up an independent practice in Mumbai.

Following a spectacular run during the past five years, Vashi and Vashi now handle complex and high stakes disputes and dispute-linked transactions across India. These include disputes before tribunals (the NCLT, the NCLAT, the NGT etc.), enforcement agencies, courts including high courts, the Supreme Court; domestic and international arbitrations including the LCIA and SIAC arbitrations.

Vivek has always dealt with intricate disputes and multifaceted litigations making his mark as the forerunner for dispute resolution in Mumbai. Vivek is retained by private family offices and large private estates in relation to the management and structuring of their investments, trust mechanisms, succession planning and other matters. Vivek’s approach to amicably settle and mutually resolve disputes rather than needlessly engage or be embroiled in litigation has earned him plenty of praise from his clients.
