Introduction
Ouyang Dan is the co-chair of Baker McKenzie’s Asia Pacific, Hong Kong and Mainland China capital markets practice. She has extensive experience with US and Hong Kong equity offerings, the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Rule 144A and Regulation S bond offerings, PE and M&A transactions. She has represented corporate clients across a range of industries, including technology, healthcare, education and entertainment, in more than a hundred IPOs and follow-on offerings in the US and Hong Kong.
Dan’s representative deals include the IPOs of Tencent Music, Gaotu Techedu (formerly GSX Techedu), and Chagee in the US; the Hong Kong IPOs of China Everbright Bank, WuXi XDC, Angelalign and Black Sesame Technologies; the private placement for I-Mab; and the US listing of Cheche Technology via a de-SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) transaction.
Dan graduated from Peking University and holds an MA and a JD from Cornell University. She is licensed to practise in the state of New York and Hong Kong.
