Paul Hastings’ former head of the Beijing and Shanghai offices, David Wang, and partner Meka Meng have joined Hogan Lovells to strengthen the firm’s M&A practice.
Wang has more than 20 years of experience, specialising in cross-border M&A, capital markets, private equity and venture capital. Both were part of Paul Hastings’ corporate practice.
After joining Hogan Lovells, Wang is now based in the Shanghai office. He said Hogan Lovells’ strategic vision was highly aligned with his career aspirations.
Meng has joined Hogan Lovells’ Beijing office. With nearly 20 years of experience and admitted in New York, he focuses on private equity, fund formation, outbound investment, M&A and joint ventures.
James Doyle, the global head of corporate and finance at Hogan Lovells, said their arrival was a significant step in the firm’s strategy to expand its offering in Greater China.
Since March this year, Simon Hui, a partner in Paul Hastings’ litigation practice, has taken over Wang’s role as chair of the Beijing and Shanghai offices.
