Wintell & Co has recruited dispute resolution specialist Jiang Mingze as a senior partner in its Shanghai office.
Jiang specialises in the finance and real estate fields, and he is particularly skilled in cross-border commercial arbitration as well as contract disputes involving construction projects.
One of his most recent notable cases was a five-year-long contract fraud case involving JD.com’s affiliate company, Beijing Jingdong Century Trading. Jiang successfully protected the retailer from paying RMB3.4 billion in compensation at the Shanghai Financial Court.
Before joining Wintell & Co, Jiang was a partner at Shihui Partners where he represented clients such as mining giant China Minmetals and private equity funds. He also previously practised at King & Wood Mallesons.
Wintell & Co anticipates that Jiang and his team will enhance the firm’s capabilities in finance, real estate and dispute resolution services.
