The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Singapore held its first family day on 28 April at AT Feast in Dempsey.

The event for members and sponsors blended informal networking with family-oriented fun on a delightful Sunday afternoon.

Captivating both children and adults alike with a range of engaging activities, highlights included magic shows, balloon sculpting, a bubble show and a tree house playground.

Heightening the playful ambience, the LEGO Group, represented by Patricia Lee, regional corporate counsel and legal director for Asia-Pacific, generously lent boxes of LEGO and DUPLO sets, offering a creative and interactive experience for all participants.

Family affair festivities were completed with an abundance of food and drinks catering to everyone’s tastes.

Key contributors to the day’s celebrations were diamond sponsor Drew & Napier; platinum sponsors FTI Consulting Asia, Harry Elias Partnership, and Khaitan & Co; gold sponsors Bird & Bird, Cooley, Kim & Chang, Littler, LSEG Risk Intelligence and Morrison Foerster; and silver sponsor Stephenson Harwood. Horizon Recruitment was the event’s principal recruitment partner. David Sullivan, Asia-Pacific legal director at WPP, and ACC Singapore director and president, said: “This was one of the most enjoyable ACC events I have attended in my many years of membership, and my kids had an absolute ball!”

He also extended his appreciation to the members, sponsors and particularly the ACC Singapore board for orchestrating the successful event, noting: “We can’t do these events without the support of our loyal members and sponsors.”

Appreciation was especially expressed to Victoria Child (ACC Singapore business development & legal community manager), Terry Thornley (ACC Singapore immediate past president, and director and general counsel, Asia-Pacific, at Spencer Stuart), James Collison (ACC Singapore immediate past vice president, and director and senior counsel, intellectual property, at Mastercard), and Lily Tsen (ACC Singapore director and general counsel at Amcor Flexibles Asia-Pacific), who led the planning committee and helped execute a superb event.

Sullivan also expressed optimism for the future: “We hope to make this an annual event and look forward to an even better event in 2025.”
