Allen & Overy has added Australian duo Ravi de Fonseka and Daniel Thompson as partners to boost the firm’s technology transactions practice.
Thompson and Fonseka are experts in technology, telecommunications and intellectual property law.
Fonseka has more than two decades of experience spanning Australia and the UK, while Thompson has 15 years of expertise. The pair cover areas including telecom networks, regulatory intricacies, digital transformations and IP rights. They have served a diverse clientele, ranging from industry giants to emerging startups, across an array of sectors including Big Tech, telecommunications, financial services and agritech.
Victor Ho, head of the Asia-Pacific corporate practice at Allen & Overy, said: “This is a fast-growing and dynamic sector in the APAC, [and] Ravi and Dan will strengthen our APAC technology transactions practice and deepen our ability to deliver a true end-to-end digital offering across the region and the technology sector.”
Fonseka and Thompson’s hires are in addition to Allen & Overy recently bolstering its technology and cyber team with the employment of Anna Gamvros and Ross Phillipson.
