Mayer Brown has hired Tokyo-based corporate lawyer Eiji Kobayashi as a partner, who left Greenberg Traurig, which he joined in 2019 as a partner.
Kobayashi previously headed the corporate practice at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he joined in 2015, before moving to Paul Hastings in 2018.
Having more than 20 years of experience representing Japan’s leading industrial conglomerates on their complex cross-border M&A in the US, Europe and Latin America, Kobayashi has deep knowledge across key sectors, particularly in technology and life sciences.
Additionally, Kobayashi also handles compliance and regulatory investigations for Japanese industrial companies in various industries.
