Introduction

Bill Carr is a corporate partner in CMS, and co-leads the CMS India group. He has been recognized by India Business Law Journal as an international A-List lawyer for India-related matters since 2019 and is a regular visitor to India.

His main focus is on infrastructure and energy projects, general private company mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Bill regularly advises on cross-border transactions with colleagues throughout CMS and elsewhere. He advises both private and public sector organizations on a range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and shareholder agreements, corporate governance and restructurings, particularly in the primary and secondary markets for infrastructure and energy projects.

He also advises clients on commercial transactions in the rail sector, with a particular focus on rolling stock-related transactions. He is recommended as a leading rail lawyer in legal ranking directories.
