An internet portal that aims to increase the availability of law-related information by aggregating journal articles, student essays, conference information and other resources has been launched by a student of the National Law University in Jodhpur. The initiative is primarily aimed at law students, academics and legal professionals. Anyone who wants to get involved can do so by sharing resources online.

Project Cloud (www.projectcloud.info) is the brainchild of Chetan Tripathy, who aspires to “create an ecosystem where everyone has access to information”. His intention is to create equal opportunities for aspiring and practising lawyers and to eradicate the inequalities between wealthy and less affluent law students and law schools.

“We can achieve this by sharing information with one another,” Tripathy told India Business Law Journal. “This will help us to reduce the information deficit that is creating an opportunity divide for poor and rich students both in developed and developing countries. For example, many top law schools have access to paid legal resources which smaller law schools cannot afford. By bringing in a portal which focuses on such resources, we can create a level playing field for everyone.”
