Trilegal has acted for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) on successive rounds of follow-on investments valued at USD114 million in the Highways Infrastructure Trust.

KKR sponsors the trust, which is registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India as an infrastructure investment trust. The trust has a diversified portfolio comprising toll and annuity road assets.
Through various investment channels, OTPP has augmented its investment in Highways Infrastructure Trust, increasing its stake from 7.51% to 19.5%. OTPP invested in the trust during the initial offering in 2022.
