Prism Cement has sold 23% of its 74% stake in Raheja QBE General Insurance Company to QBE Asia Pacific Holdings – an affiliate of its existing joint venture partner, QBE Holdings.
The deal comes after India liberalized its foreign investment limits in the insurance sector, permitting foreign participants to hold up to 49% (up from 26%) in an insurance company.
