Li Yuling

Introduction

Yuling Li is a co-founder and managing partner of Hansheng Law Offices, the director of the firm’s international department and the deputy director of its IP Center. She is also a member of the Legal Work Committee of the Supervisory Board to the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Pudong New District, the deputy director of the Shanghai LinGang Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, and an expert for the Third Party Supervision and Evaluation Institute for Company Criminal Compliance System in the Shanghai Free-Trade Zone. She actively participates in and advises on governmental and political issues.

She has 18 years’ experience in the legal field, focusing on foreign-related services, with rich experience in cross-border transactions and M&A, international litigation and arbitration, export controls and trade sanctions, internet security and personal data protection, compliance management systems, economic crimes, intellectual property, labour and employment, etc. She has solid knowledge in the industries of solar energy, aerospace, vehicles, medical, semiconductors and other high-tech sectors. She is a member of the foreign-related lawyer library of the Shanghai Justice Bureau.

She is a visiting professor at the Law School of East China University of Science and Technology and the Law School of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance. Li is an arbitrator for the German Arbitration Institute (DIS), the Vienna International Arbitral Centre, the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Thai-Chinese International Arbitration and Mediation Center, the Vietnam China International Arbitration Center, the Shanghai Arbitration Center, and for more than 10 arbitration centres in China including in Taizhou, Kunming, Nanjing and Dalian. She was invited as a mediator at the Mediation Office of the Second Intermediate People’s Court of China, the Center of Mediation in Pudong New District, and the Mediation Center of the Shanghai IP Bureau.

She was given the Managing Partner Nomination of East China by ALB in 2022, was recognised in

The A-List of Legal Elites by China Business Law Journal in 2020 and 2023, and awarded the New Star of the Top 10 Outstanding Young Attorneys for Pudong New District.

Li studied English at the Foreign Languages University of Luoyang, majored in international economic law at the Law School of Fudan University, and international IP at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Her working languages are Chinese and English.
