Introduction

Li Xiaosong graduated from the Southwest Jiaotong University School of Transport and Logistics, the Peking University Law School, and obtained his master’s degree from the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM). He is a founding partner and director of Yongwen Law Firm, a board member of the Chinese Society of Criminology, chief supervisor of Chongqing Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, and vice president of the Finance Association of Tsinghua University’s SEM.

With more than 20 years’ working experience in legal services, Li has been involved in a wide range of practice areas including corporate governance, corporate restructuring, M&A, domestic and foreign listing, and bond issuance, PE investment, real estate and infrastructure, non-performing assets disposal and commercial litigation and arbitration. He has served as legal counsel for China Railway (formerly the Ministry of Railways) and other ministries, and has provided legal services to central enterprises such as China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China North Industries Group, and China Electronics Corporation (CEC), as well as financial institutions such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Everbright Bank, China Cinda Asset Management, and China Insurance Security Fund.

With extensive experience, Li oversaw the A-share listing of China’s first large transportation company, Daqin Railway; the issuance of the first batch of corporate bonds in China; the exemption from tender offers for the first batch of listed companies; and the overall relocation of the first listed company.

Li has handled a number of high-profile projects including CEC’s merger and acquisition of Pactera, the private equity investment project of ZGC Co-Innovation Fund. He focuses on major arbitration, litigation and retrials in the economic field, providing solutions to clients involved in major arbitration and litigation.

Li has been awarded “Outstanding Lawyer of Beijing” for many years, “Excellent Director of Law Firms in Haidian District” in Beijing, and “Client Choice: Top 15 SOE Lawyers” by Legalband in 2023, “The A-list: Growth Drivers” by China Business Law Journal in 2023 and 2024, “Top Ranked Lawyers: Dispute Resolution (Litigation)” in 2024 and 2025, as well as “Best of the Best: China Top 30 Lawyers” in 2024 by Legalband.

He has been listed in the Lawyer Expert Database of Legal Daily in 2024 and 2025, and has been appointed as an off-campus supervisor for master’s students at the Beijing Foreign Studies University School of Law from 2024 to 2026.
