Introduction
Wu Bo is an executive partner and senior partner of China Commercial Law Firm (CCLF), and the Executive Director of CCLF Shanghai. He plays a leading role in the firm’s fund law practice and acts as an arbitrator with several arbitration institutions, while also holding a number of public and professional appointments in Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Wu has over 15 years’ experience in private equity funds, investment and financing transactions, M&A and restructuring, and complex civil and commercial dispute resolution. He regularly advises government agencies, state-owned enterprises, listed companies, private businesses and financial institutions on fund formation, deal structuring, compliance and risk management, and represents clients in major litigation and arbitration cases on the Chinese mainland.
He has led or participated in numerous significant transactions and disputes in industrial investment, asset management, infrastructure and emerging industries. His work spans the full lifecycle of fund and investment projects, from structuring and documentation through to enforcement and dispute resolution. He is recognised for integrating precise legal analysis with clear, executable solutions, and for his understanding of the operational needs of state-owned platforms, industrial funds and private enterprises.
Wu has been recognised by leading legal media, including as a “Rising Star” in ALB China 2022; and in the ALB China Client Choice Lawyers list, where he was named an “Outstanding Lawyer of Guangdong Province” for the years 2017-2021. He has contributed to publications on state-owned enterprise reform and private equity fund practice, and currently serves as Vice President of the Legal Branch of the Hongkou New Social Stratum Association, in addition to holding several other public and professional appointments.
