Named among “China’s Top 50 Outstanding Intellectual Property Lawyers” for 2019-2020, Yuhan has handled several influential cases, including securing a favourable Supreme People‘s Court judgment for Suofeiya Home Collection in an administrative retrial regarding the non-use cancellation appeal of the “索菲亚 SOFIER” trademark; achieving success for Dongdao Brand Creative Group in a second-instance appeal and retrial for a trademark infringement case, where the “Dongdao” design was recognised as a well-known trademark for the first time; prevailing on behalf of Xiaomi in a trademark infringement case against Weifang Ruichi concerning the “LeiJun Electric (雷军电动)” trademark; assisting Inner Mongolia Yili Group in obtaining registration for the “YouSuanRu (优酸乳)” trademark after 20 years of use; achieving a favourable outcome for Hengan Group in the invalidation case for the “Seven Degrees Space (七度空间)” trademark, which was recognised as a well-known trademark for the first time; securing successful outcomes for the French ballet brand “Repetto” in a series of trademark cases; and successfully opposing the registration of the “Iverson” series of trademarks on behalf of Reebok International, based on NBA star Allen Iverson’s name rights. This case was recognised by China Business Law Journal as one of the “Deals of the Year” in 2012.
