Modhulika Bose has joined Chandiok & Mahajan as a partner in the firm’s competition and antitrust practice group, while elevating Mahima Singh, Mehul Parti and Mitesh Shah to its partnership bringing the partner count to 15, with 40% being women.

Karan Chandhiok, partner and head of the competition and regulatory practice at C&M, said Bose’s arrival “further strengthens our highly ranked competition practice, which now comprises five partners, and more than 20 legal professionals”.

Bose who was previously at P&A Law Offices as counsel in the competition and antitrust practice brings more than a decade’s experience at the bar.

She advises clients on a wide array of competition law issues across various sectors, with a particular focus on technology and digital markets. She has also worked on complex enforcement/litigation and merger control cases. At C&M, she will be assisting clients in high-profile investigations and merger reviews.

Based in the New Delhi office, Singh has been with the firm for nearly eight years, and specialises in restructuring and insolvency, advising on debt restructuring and liquidation.

Singh represents clients such as Trimax IT and Future Enterprises, Ricoh, Patna Highway, Sarga Hotel, Future Enterprises, HDO, Provogue, Chowgule Group and Refex Group as well as acting as liquidator of Innoventive. She is a member of various insolvency organisations and is a part of the NextGen Leadership Program of the International Insolvency Institute.

Parti, also based in New Delhi, has been with the firm for nine years, and is a member of the dispute resolution and regulatory litigation team. Parti has handled cases in telecoms, automobile, infrastructure and real estate, renewable energy, fast-moving consumer goods, housing, and finance sectors among others.

He has represented clients, including HP, Honda, Hyundai, Jaypee, Indus Towers, Emaar, Sembcorp, Bharti Realty, Brookfield etc., before courts and tribunals in India.

Shah, based in Mumbai, has 16 years of experience in corporate law. He advises on M&A and cross-border transactions for clients in various industries, including manufacturing, services, hospitality, healthcare/hospitals, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, startups, fintech, food business operators and logistics.
