Introduction

Ruelito Soriano is the managing partner of Quiason Makalintal Barot Torres Ibarra Sison & Damaso, and a supervising partner of its corporate and tax groups. He specialises in M&A, corporate and project financing, securities offerings, tax planning and structuring advice for the firm’s various clients. He has led the firm’s teams in numerous projects across various industries, including energy, fintech, e-commerce, banking, insurance, telecommunications, information technology, airline ground handling, business process outsourcing, education, and retail trade, among others.

Ruel concurrently serves as co-chief compliance and risk management officer of the transnational diversified group. He chairs the board of directors of a dual currency e-money issuer, MarCoPay, sits on the board of directors of various companies, and serves as corporate secretary of Tonik Digital Bank and a solar energy company Raslag Corp. He obtained his bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Law from the Ateneo de Manila University.
