Introduction

Manolito Manalo is the managing partner of Ocampo Manalo Valdez & Lim and oversees the firm’s labour and commercial litigation practice. He also represents various corporate clients before regulatory and quasi-judicial bodies.

For several years now, Manalo has consistently been described as a leading individual and market leader in the practice areas of dispute resolution, aviation, and real estate by respected publications such as the Legal 500, Asia Law & Practice, Expert Guides, Asia Business Law Journal, and Global Law Experts, among others.

He is an active member of various professional associations such as the Philippine Bar Association, LAWASIA and the International Bar Association. He is also the firm’s representative before the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) and the International Federation of AirLine Pilots Associations (IFALPA) and the AirLine Pilots Association (ALPA) of the US.

Aside from his reputable legal career, Manalo is a well-respected name in the business community. He concurrently serves as the chairman and CEO of publicly-listed Prime Media Holdings, director of Kajima Philippines, and independent director of Teleport Commerce Philippines. He also acts in various corporate capacities for Turkish Airlines, Air Asia, Air Seoul, PCCW of Hong Kong, Chailease Finance of Taiwan, and Hong Kong Airlines to name a few.

Manalo also serves as the Asia-Pacific managing director of WGI Global, a US-based foundation with the goal of promoting English language literacy and an adviser of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry’s “Go Negosyo Mentorship Program” for young entrepreneurs.

Manalo is a product of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, having earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a bachelor of laws degree from the same university in the years 1992 and 1995, respectively.
