Li Weimin

Introduction

Li Weimin, a founder and a director at WeiBo Law Firm, is a postdoctoral fellow of China University of Political Science and Law, a Doctor of Law from Beihang University, and a Master of Law from Peking University. He serves as a part-time professor and a doctoral supervisor at Wuhan University Law School, an off-campus doctoral supervisor at the China Communication University School of Cultural Industry Management, an adjunct professor at Northwest University, Northwest Normal University and Xiangtan University, a distinguished professor at Hebei Finance College, and an off-campus tutor at Northwest A&F University.

Li is also a researcher and deputy secretary-general at the Intellectual Property Research Center of China University of Political Science and Law, vice president at the Beijing Debt Law Research Association, an executive director of the Intellectual Property Committee, secretary-general of the China University of Political Science and Law Intellectual Property Alumni Association, a director of the China Case Law Research Association, and an executive director of the China Science and Technology Law Society. He also serves as an executive director and deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Property Law Research Association, an executive director of the Beijing Intellectual Property Law Research Association, secretary-general of the Copyright Law Committee, a director of the Beijing Film and Television Entertainment Law Research Association, a member of the Electronic Data Justice and Practice Expert Group of the China Electronic Data Research Institute Internet Society, and a special tutor of China Artificial Intelligence Town. He is a vice president of Shaanxi Law Society’s Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Research Association, Aerospace Law Research Association, and Cultural Heritage and Traditional Resources Research Association.

Li has a reputation as a scholarly lawyer and an elite lawyer, and has unique insights on artificial intelligence, big data and personal information. He has published more than 30 articles in core journals, such as Discrimination of the Nature of Personal Information Rights and Research on Legislative Models: From the Perspective of New Internet Rights, and Correct Characterisation of Artificial Intelligence Intellectual Achievements in Copyright Law: A Discussion with Professor Wang Qian, etc. He has rich practical experience in corporate legal risk prevention, corporate mergers and acquisitions, asset restructuring, financing, designing, drafting and risk diagnosis of intellectual property strategy and intellectual property litigation scheme, legal risk control of internet finance, compliance of internet enterprise operation, signing of intelligent legal contracts, designing of risk control systems, electronic deposit of certificates, crisis public relations, and foreign-related legal affairs. He has represented six classic acquittals in corporate-related criminal cases.
