In his more than 25 years of law practice, Gil is consistently cited as a Legal 500 and Chambers Asia Pacific leading individual for employment. He also served as a resource speaker on labour and employment law in various local and regional seminars.

Leveraging his firm management roles in Quisumbing Torres’ management committee and the various global and regional committees of Baker McKenzie International, Gil drives socially relevant and meaningful initiatives of Quisumbing Torres’ CSR and pro bono work. He led the team in mobilising assistance and aid for the front liners since the beginning of the pandemic. His other CSR programs include organising relief operations in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Odette in collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard, where he is an Auxiliary Officer.

He also provides pro bono advice and assistance to an international organisation focused on human rights in several cases involving the illegal trafficking of women and children.
