Introduction

A senior partner with three decades of legal experience, Alden Francis C Gonzales is co-head DivinaLaw’s litigation group and also head of the firm’s labour group. In 1986, he worked with SyCip Gorrez Velayo and Co as an auditor, later returning in 1991 to practice law in the tax division of the firm. Since then, he has represented many clients from various sectors of society before all levels of the Philippine Court system.

Armed with extensive knowledge of legal practice and strengthened by his background as a certified public accountant, Alden proves to be a distinct and versatile name in the field. He has also extended his knowledge of law to the academe for nearly as long as he has practised, working as a professor of civil law in his alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas, where he graduated magna cum laude. He has also been a bar reviewer at the university from 2007 to the present.

He has consistently been named among the Top 100 Lawyers in the Philippines by the Asia Business Law Journal since 2018.
