Philippines law firm Ocampo & Suralvo Law Office (OS Law) has strengthened its corporate and M&A capabilities with the arrival of commercial and transactions partner Lyra Flores-Bisnar in Manila.
Flores-Bisnar joins the firm after being self-employed as managing principal at Bisnar and Associates in Singapore for more than a year. Before that, she was a partner at Kelvin Chia Partnership, where she spent more than eight years at the Myanmar office and two years at the Singapore branch. She also previously served as an assistant secretary in the Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel from March 2013 to January 2015.
“Our M&A and complex transactions practice is the strongest it has ever been … Bringing Lyra on board was a natural next step. She and one of our other transaction partners, Christine Antonio, have been close friends for years, and the moment we learned Lyra was returning to the Philippines, we moved quickly. She is a proven deal team leader, and that is exactly what we look for at the front of our engagements,” Jude Ocampo, managing partner of OS Law, told Asia Business Law Journal.
Flores-Bisnar specialises in corporate advisory, due diligence and M&A transactions for both local and foreign clients, including those in the financing, hospitality, ports and infrastructure, renewable energy and biotechnology sectors.
She also advises on investment projects across Southeast Asia spanning a wide range of industries, including energy, tourism, banking and finance, telecommunications, infrastructure and real estate development, distribution and retail, agriculture, special economic zones, and international non-governmental organsations and NGOs.
